The Las Vegas Raiders are one of the few teams in the NFL at present that is yet to finalize their starting quarterback with only two months remaining in the regular season to start. But there appears to be an update in the case of the Raiders as veteran wide receiver Davante Adams shared.

Both Aidan O’Connell and the newly signed Gardner Minshew are competing for the starting job. Between these two, the former is claimed to be the frontrunner by Adams, during his recent appearance on Fox Sports “Speak.”

I think right now, if I had to say, I think Aidan has the job. Because, you know, obviously he was here before and that's the way that it was. He was running with the ones more and until Gardner comes in and takes the job away from him; I think it's Aidan's job right now.
Aidan O’Connell said.

The six-time Pro Bowler also shared his preference while deciding who shall lead the offense. Although he didn’t name anyone, he claimed the job should be given to someone confident and ready.

Furthermore, he also admitted that despite the change in the coaching staff, the Raiders have a lot of segments to improve. With the training camp around the corner, he believes the team will get a better picture of who will be their signal-caller for the upcoming season and strategize accordingly

Davante Adams credits Antonio Pierce’s impact on Raiders’ turnaround

While talking about the team, three-time First-team All-Pro recipient also opened up about the impact of the new head coach Antonio Pierce on the team. Especially since he played a major role in his promotion to the head coach position after posting a 3-5 record as the interim head coach.

He really affected the team before he even knew he affected the team.
Adams said as he showered Pierce with high praises.

The star receiver complemented the Raiders’ new HC by saying he is not afraid to empower the players specifically by calling them out. Many of the Raiders players have also praised Pierce’s coaching style and approach for the upcoming season.
