The Germany international has played his entire career with Leverkusen, making 289 appearances thus far – quite some feat for someone who is only 26-years-old.

Standing at 6ft 3in tall, Leno cuts an imposing physical presence, and is an excellent shot-stopper. He commands his penalty area with authority – something that Liverpool have desperately lacked from their goalkeepers in recent years.

The Leverkusen man also possesses excellent distribution skills , and he would undoubtedly help the Merseyside outfit improve upon their ability to play out from the back.

Liverpool will be hoping to make a sustained push for the Premier League title next season, and having Leno between the sticks would surely put them in a fantastic position from which to topple Manchester City.
