I think Ben caved to the backlash and passively agressively got rid of Lopez by cheating on her last time. He got embarrassed back then because he wanted to be taken seriously and all the tabloid stuff surrounding her and his friend's opinions scared him off her.

I do think they love each other but unfortunately it won't last.

Garner's image is as sweet girl next door but I think she is not as easy going as she seems. Ben is the type you date, not marry. From what I have read Ben was ready to leave her and then she got pregnant with Samuel so he stuck around. Sounds like Garner shit on her first husband and then Michael Vartan so what comes around goes around?

I don't know why, I hated that whole "Bennifer" shit the first time around.

But I don't think they broke up because they didn't love each other, I think it was because his career suffered due to the media circus surrounding their relationship.

She said it in an interview shortly after the breakup: "He was an Oscar winner, a Hollywood Golden Boy, and he became tabloid fodder because of me" (or something like that). She looked pained when she said it.

I think now that they're older, he's recuperated the industry respect he'd lost, and she's had continued success, they deserve to give it another shot. They know not to make the same mistakes they made the first time around (i.e. making the relationship super public, co-starring in shitty movies together, etc.).

It probably won't last, but at least it'll end due to normal relationship reasons (i.e. she's a nightmare and he's a drunken mess), not because of media overexposure or career issues.

I'm a long-time respecter of the talent-free, can't hit a note on her own, Supah-Stah JLO. She took her beauty and her 4 Ds to the height of fame and I give her her due.

I think it’s a combo of both for Garner. She was into him enough, but he was also a bigger catch for her. I never got the impression he was in love with her at all. He is image conscious and trots out the kids for the weekly strolls, but he always seems like he was taken hostage. She definitely calls the papps and props his brand up too, like during his Oscar run. For everyone who criticizes DiCaprio, he’s the smart one. Affleck should’ve followed his lead and just stayed single, dating the flavor of the month.
