BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — With Boise State's two season-opening victories, the team became the winningest program in college football history.
The Broncos are now 462-170-2, which puts the program's win percentage at .7303.
BSU nudged its way to the top position ahead of Ohio State (926-326-53; .7299), with Notre Dame in a close third (914-326-42; .7293).
The Broncos are now gearing up for the third game of the season on Friday against Brigham Young University.
BYU will be the Broncos’ only non-conference game of the 2020 season. Kickoff is set for 7:45 p.m., and the game will be nationally televised by FS1.
Head Coach Bryan Harsin will kick-off press conferences on Tuesday at 7:30 a.m.
You can watch press conferences with different members from the program on the CBS2 Facebook page and below:
Despite being just 380 miles apart, this will be the 11th all-time game between BSU and BYU. This week’s game is also the ninth of a 12-year series that began in 2012 and will end in 2023.
The schools announced a series extension last season. After a one-year hiatus in 2024, the rivalry will resume in Boise in 2025 for the first of a 10-year schedule home-and-home agreement.
The Broncos are 7-3 against the Cougars all-time, and a perfect 5-0 at home.
