Description
Hike the new trails, now completely accessible thanks to a 50-spot parking lot. Complete trail signage has also been installed.
Both hikes will be led by Town of Castle Rock staff and will be on unpaved single-track trails that are not stroller-friendly but are open to all ages. Pre-registration is required, and space is limited.
8:15 AM – Moderate Hike
The hike length is 3.0 miles and will travel past the historic homestead on Founder’s Vista Trail toward the forested eastern portion of the site, connect to the rocky Rancher’s Ridge Trail with an overlook, returning on Rosemary’s Ridge Trail then back to the trailhead on Gus’ Gulch Trail. The hike should take 1.5 hours.
8:30 AM – Easy Hike
The hike length is less than 2.0 miles and will travel past the historic homestead on Founder’s Vista Trail towards the forested eastern portion of the site, then return on the Gus’ Gulch Trail. The hike should take 1 hour.
