Deborah Frater and Derek Cohen were united in marriage Sept. 5 at First United Methodist Church, Bowling
Green.
Pastor Tom Mellott officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Tom and Alita Frater, Madison Court, Bowling Green. The groom’s parents are
Jeff and Cindy Cohen, Sylvania.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an ivory, off-the-shoulder gown with a sweetheart
neckline and a pick-up skirt.
Sarah Davis, Bowling Green, was matron of honor for her sister.
Maid of honor was Meaghan Geraghty, Ashtabula.
Claire Parschauer, San Francisco; Andrea Dannemiller, Parma Heights; and Rachel Cohen of North Hollywood,
Calif., the groom’s sister, were bridesmaids.
The attendants all wore black Ann Taylor dresses with halter necklines and a keyhole tie at the back of
the neck.
Serving as best man was the groom’s brother, Jacob Cohen, stationed at a Texas Air Force Base.
Greg Dannemiller, Parma Heights; Joe Mazzola, Tampa, Fla.; and the groom’s father were ushers.
Dr. Mark Munson was organist and Laura Sutton was soloist for the ceremony.
A reception was held at Simpson Garden Park in Bowling Green.
The couple took a southern Caribbean honeymoon cruise and are now residing at 3112 Werk Road, Apt. 4,
Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
The bride graduated from Bowling Green High School in 2002. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Bowling
Green State University in 2006 and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan in 2008, and is
presently director of program evaluation for Community Mental Health Center, Inc., Lawrenceburg, Ind.
The groom graduated from Start High School in 2000 and BGSU in 2004. He is a current University of
Cincinnati Ph.D. student.
