An easy guide to help you install Fallout 4’s biggest mod yet- Fallout: London.

Fallout: London is the largest community-made mod for Fallout 4, that expands and works on the game so much that it might as well be considered a new Fallout title. The game is set in London, with new characters, weapons, monsters, and a role-friendly storyline that branches out and dynamically changes as you play the game, which is quite lacking in the main game. Thus, this is a must-play mod for all Fallout fans waiting for a true Fallout experience.

There are a couple of ways to install Fallout: London some of them being simple to somewhat simple and some being very complicated. Thus we bring you the simplest ways to install Fallout: London.

Installing Fallout London

The first requirement needed to step into post-apocalyptic Britain is to have Fallout 4 and all its DLCs except the high-resolution texture pack. The GOTY edition contains all of them.

You can play Fallout: London on Steam and GOG Galaxy Launcher. Playing directly from GOG is simple while Steam requires some work. Thus it is better to buy the main game from GOG.

Playing with GOG

Add the mod to your GOG library, from the store page here- Fallout: London. Download and launch the GOG Galaxy client.

Download Fallout 4 and all its DLCs, then install the Fallout: London mod. Then you can launch the mod as a standalone game and start exploring the London wastelands.

Playing with Steam

If you have no other choice other than Steam, then we would only advise you to play using Steam since it requires some work. Due to the next-gen version automatically downloaded on Steam, you have to manually downgrade the main game to the 1.10.163.0 version of the game.

You can do this easily using the downgrade tool provided by the developer, Team FOLON, available at Nexus Mods.

Run the downgrade, and follow the instructions, such as providing the location of the game. Then, log in to Steam when asked to let the tool access the old version files of Fallout 4. Follow the next steps and with a bit of waiting you will have the 1.10.163.0 version Fallout 4 version.

Then just as before, open GOG Galaxy, add and download Fallout: London, and launch the title as a standalone game, from the GOG client.

These are the easiest ways to download and install Fallout: London. Other ways include manually downloading the mod from Team Folon’s site or manually downgrading the Steam version. These two ways are way too complex and easy to make mistakes. You are better off not worrying about added trouble. Especially if you are new to modding.
