This will be their eighth meeting overall and second on grass. The last time they met on grass was at the same tournament in 2022, and that remains their only grass court meeting to date.

However, Jabeur has been a force to be reckoned with as she is a two-time Wimbledon finalist and has also won her only grass court match against the young American. Gauff is the top seed of the tournament and Jabeur is seeded eighth.

Both players have had a relatively rough year given the expectations that were placed on them. Gauff has a significant advantage on paper as she leads the Tunisian 5-2 in their matchups so far.
However, all of Gauff’s wins are on clay or hard courts and Jabeur defeated her in straight sets on grass. Jabeur’s tactical style of play may also be effective against Gauff’s baseline game, especially on her least favored surface.
