Alicia Santurio an animal activist from a group called Direct Action Everywhere interrupted the intense play-in matchup between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Brooklyn Nets. As the winner of the game would advance to the playoffs as the seventh seed and the loser will still have a chance to compete for the eighth seed by playing another match-up in the play-in tournament. Alicia Santurio though had a very specific and important reason for the interruption she caused amid the match-up as it was a part of the protest against Glen Taylor. Glen Taylor is a majority owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves so there wasn’t a better place for the activist to start her process than Target Center where the team played their most important game of the season.

The Minnesota Timberwolves hosted the Los Angeles Clippers at the Target Center for the play-in tournament. The game was closely contested and head to head but the Wolves outshined the Clippers and now have a playoff spot for themselves. Paul George though stepped up with the best on-court performance but still fell on the losing end while having another shot at it. The final box score stands at 104-109 favoring the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The interruption by Alicia Santurio was a protest against Glen Taylor. As footage from Glen Taylor’s factory farm reveals chickens being fully conscious after being roasted alive (mass killing of chickens via suffocating them). This is a horrible act and to protest against it is no wrong so the activist was very right with her actions and now has made the headlines since many point their fingers towards the owner.

Alicia Santurio interrupted the game to protest against the Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor

With three minutes and thirty-four seconds remaining for the second quarter to end Alicia Santurio ran onto the court out of nowhere to start her protest wearing a shirt that had “GLEN TAYLOR ROASTS ANIMAL ALIVE” printed on it. She even glued herself to the court as she had her hand stuck on the floor until the security took her out. Initially, nothing was known as many thought somebody has fallen on the ground. But the sideline reporter Allie LaForce gave an in-game report and quoted: “It was worst than Graffiti she tried to glue herself to the court and when they were pulling her off she resisted to lift her wrist up.”

The message was very strong and important by the protest of Alicia Santurio but now she stands viral as the Glue Girl for the Glue Game. There have been no replies from the side of either Glen Taylor or the Minnesota Timberwolves and fans await on it. But things are already out on the internet and fans reacting to it criticize Glen Taylor while also trolling the activist like always since they always have jokes around them to post. After a thorough investigation into glue girl, I have discovered she is protesting the animal rights abuse of timberwolves owner Glen Taylor, the glue likely represents the mistreatment of horses used to make the glue #TWolves pic.twitter.com/kHbhzL9HCY

The woman who glued herself to court at Clippers/Timberwolves game wore a shirt that said "Glen Taylor Roasts Animals alive." She was referring to an egg farm that he has that had to recently kill chickens because of the bird flu outbreak that has been happening. Yep. @NBAonTNT

The Glue Woman, Alicia Santurio, appeared to be wearing a ‘Glen Taylor Roasts Animals Alive’ t-shirt.

She was protesting after it was reported that current team owner Glen Taylor’s factory farm brutally killed 5 million birds via “ventilation shutdown.”
