This is a Warner Bros. movie, which means it is heading to one particular streaming platform after this. It will head to Max for the first exclusive streaming. It could head to Netflix after that, but it won’t be for a couple of years at the least.

This remake has an outstanding cast that you will make you want to watch it. Fantasia Barrino will play Celie Harris-Johnson, with Phylicia Pear Mpasi playing the younger version of the character. Taraji P. Henson takes on the role of Shug Avery with Danielle Brooks as Sofia.
