Ja Morant will be out for the remainder of the NBA season due to an injury he suffered during practice.
“At Saturday’s training session, Morant suffered a subluxation of his right shoulder. Following ongoing soreness and instability, Morant underwent an MRI that revealed an underlying labral tear,” a spokesperson from the Memphis Grizzlies said in a statement Monday (Jan. 8) night before revealing that he has to undergo surgery. “Morant will undergo season-ending surgery and is expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2024-25 season.”
Shortly after the annoucement, the point guard took to his Twitter account to share his fustration. “Damn, Dawg,” Morant wrote.
