A Toledo man was charged Sunday after he allegedly threatened employees at Jimmy John’s, 215 E. Wooster
St., with a gun.
On Sunday, the Bowling Green Police Division received a report of a man who threatened employees.
Alan Michael Durden, 21, Toledo, was charged aggravated menacing and criminal mischief and was taken to
jail. He posted bond and was released.
Police approached Durden, who matched witnesses’ descriptions, at the corner of North Prospect and East
Court streets.
According to witnesses, the incident started when Durden complained about the lack of bread available to
make a sandwich.
A Jimmy John’s employee told police Durden said he had a gun and was going to shoot them, according to
the report. Durden also was seen knocking a Jimmy John’s sign off a delivery vehicle.
