Los Angeles Lakers team owner Jeanie Buss made an explosive allegation this week when she accused a fellow NBA owner of groping her.

During an insightful and extremely open conversation with Graham Bensinger, Buss shined a light on some what she has had to deal with during her time in the NBA.

The one thing that stuck out most to fans, understandably, was her confession that a fellow NBA owner had groped her.

“As we were waiting, taking a break from the meeting and everybody’s in line for the buffet for lunch during the lunch break, somebody grabs my ass,” Buss said.

“I turn around and I was so shocked. But it was like, again, if I didn’t have the confidence that my dad put in me, that was a moment where I wanted to shrink and to be nothing, that I would have, you know, gotten sick and said, ‘I gotta go.’

“Do I really belong here? You know, I’m just really not one of the group, like I’m been singled out. It made me really self conscious.”

Buss is obviously one of the NBA more polarizing owners. Between her Kobe Bryant handsomeness tweets, racy messages objectifying NBA players and that one time she weirdly couldn’t keep her hands off Dwyane Wade, she has been a mainstay in the headlines for years.

That being said, it is easy to see why this most recent interview has stirred up so much controversy.

Although Buss seems more or less at peace with what occurred, many hearing the story are not.

Will the NBA step in and address Buss’ recent claims? Or at the very least ensure that something like that isn’t occurring in the league today? Time will tell.
