Liverpool smashed Hertha Berlin 3-0 in Germany on Saturday evening.

First-half goals from Dominic Solanke and Georginio Wijnaldum helped the Reds into a 2-0 half-time lead, before Mo Salah completed the rout shortly after the hour mark.

With two of Liverpool’s new boys on the scoresheet, it was a good day all-round for manager Jurgen Klopp.

But there was another big positive in the form of Emre Can.

The Germany midfielder showed no sign of rust in what was his first pre-season game of the summer due to his Confederations Cup commitment back in June.

And the former Bayern Munich man was his usual, powerful self in midfield as he posted a performance which reminded Liverpool fans just how much of a force he is.

Emre Can just entered beast mode.
