Everton are reportedly keen on Liverpool striker Divock Origi.
Liverpool have a host of attacking options at Jurgen Klopp’s disposal, and that means that some players end up losing out in the pecking order.
The Reds can boast the likes of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, as well as Daniel Sturridge and Xherdan Shaqiri, whilst youngsters Dominic Solanke and Rhian Brewster have bright futures.
Danny Ings found that he was struggling for playing time and headed to Southampton in August, and Divock Origi may now have to move on as well in search of first-team football.
The Belgian international hit the headlines with promising displays at the 2014 World Cup, prompting Liverpool to sign him from Lille before loaning him back to the French club.
Origi, 23, has hit 21 goals in 77 games for Liverpool, and spent last season out on with Wolfsburg before returning to Anfield over the summer after a disappointing stint in Germany.
Klopp seemingly isn’t convinced by Origi, and he hasn’t made a single competitive appearance this season, meaning a January move away looks almost inevitable for the forward.
Now, ESPN report that Everton are surprisingly keen on Origi, and could look to offer him the rare move across Stanley Park; after all, it’s almost 17 years since a player moved between the two Merseyside clubs, with Abel Xavier making a 2002 switch from Everton to Liverpool.
Liverpool fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumours, with some begging Liverpool to exploit Everton’s finances by demanding £50million for Origi, or alternatively demand Brazilian star Richarlison in exchange.

Some think a move to Everton would make sense for Origi, but many don’t want Liverpool to sell to the Toffees as it may come back to haunt them, and really hope a move doesn’t go through.
