An investigation in Elmore County led to the arrest of two people on several charges on Wednesday, as well as the discovery of marijuana and hashish oil.

Idaho State Police says Jordan D. Daton and Leida E. Figueroa were arrested on suspected marijuana trafficking, felony possession of hashish oil and possession of drug paraphernalia. Dalton is from Willingboro, New Jersey, and Figueroa is from Groveland, Florida.

Police arrested the pair on eastbound I-84 in Elmore County, near milepost 95. The Elmore County Sheriff’s Office helped with the investigation.

Investigators say they found 215 pounds of marijuana and 16.8 pounds of hashish oil.

Idaho State Police says this incident is part of a growing trend of increasing marijuana trafficking arrests in Idaho. Including these arrests, ISP says it's seized more than 1,900 pounds of marijuana from would-be traffickers since 2014.
