PERRYSBURG — Perrysburg Musical Theatre’s winter production of “The Bridges of Madison County” is the
second show in the 10th Anniversary Season for the company.
An acclaimed musical based on the best-selling novel by Robert James Waller, the stage adaptation, “The
Bridges of Madison County” was developed by the Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning creative team of Jason
Robert Brown (“The Last Five Years,” “Parade,” “Songs for a New World)” and Marsha Norman.
A sweeping romance about the roads we travel, the doors we open and the bridges we dare to cross, this
2014 Tony Award-winner for Best Score and Orchestrations captures the lyrical expanse of America’s
heartland and the yearning entangled in the eternal question” “What if…?” Forbidden love, self-discovery
and lust abound in this production of “Bridges.”
The music is the highlight of the show as it draws the audience into the deceptively simple story of
Robert, played by Jordan Benavente, and Francesca, played by Chelsie Cree. Brown’s score does not
disappoint with his gorgeous arrangements with a range of operatic to bluegrass sounds that will surely
    excite any audience.
“Jordan and Chelsie are the perfect duo to take on such a complicated story and vocal arrangements.
Chelsie’s soaring yet angelic, operatic vocals mixed with Jordan’s velvet and tender voice lend well to
this score” said PMT Artistic Director Julie Bermudez.
Among this standout duo, PMT will not disappoint with the talent of supporting leads and the ensemble.

“PMT prides itself with our musical talent and strong ensembles. This show is a perfect example of it.
Logan Maccariella is a musical gift as musical director and conductor.” Bermudez said.
New to PMT, but not to directing is Samantha Henry.
“Sam’s vision for this show is simple, yet she researches and really dives into motivation for each
character. She spends a lot of time asking the cast questions about their characters and choices they
make throughout the story, making it their own self-discovery. She has been a great addition to the PMT
    family!” Bermudez said.
