After some old stream video found their way around social media, Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys was forced to reject rumours of her using drugs on-screen.

Pokimane, an OfflineTV star, was forced to shut down her Twitch feed on January 12 when Jidion “hate raided” her. The newly paired Twitch streamer had sent his audience to her feed to spam “L+Ratio,” and they started messaging other viewers. As word of the incident circulated on social media, one Twitter user started spreading rumours that Pokimane used to do drugs on her broadcast.

Pokimane moved to Twitter after the rumour gathered popularity to refute the weird allegations

Since the stream attack with Jidion, the OfflineTV co-founder has kept her Twitter profile private so that new individuals can’t attack her. That hasn’t stopped the streamer from speaking to her followers.

On January 14, when speculations circulated on Twitter, Pokimane was forced to respond with a post denying the allegations. “I can’t believe I have to say this,” it says. But I don’t do coke or any other substance for that matter. You guys, I’ve never done a drinking stream before.

The video snippets that have sparked the latest social media speculation are from previous videos and streams in which the author opened Japanese-based treasure boxes. She obtained Japanese sugar and put it into “lines” during one of her streams.

Pokimane received a DMCA strike and a Twitch ban for streaming Avatar: The Last Airbender, prompting this rumour and “hate raid.”

“Just to be clear, I’m not surprised and I don’t think this is unfair,” the streamer said in her first broadcast after being reinstated.

Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel recently came to Pokimane’s rescue after the Twitch star was harassed as a result of a hate raid, encouraging viewers to respect everyone equally – for better or worse.

Pokiamne’s show was forced to halt on January 12 after an influx of people entered the chat and harassed her. They were apparently acting on orders from JiDion, who was soon banned.
