Portsmouth manager Kenny Jackett says he is unsure whether Jamal Lowe will remain at the club as Wigan Athletic, Leeds United and Middlesbrough have all taken an interest in him, The News report.

“The conclusion to it? We have to wait and see. It’s really hard to call. We definitely do (want it sorting), but it’s the buying club who dictates that really and whether they or other clubs come in with offers over the next two weeks,” Jackett explained.

“It’s tough to tell what those people will do and whether they keep pursuing it. We may or may not have to (react). That’s a possibility, but obviously we’d all like to keep Jamal and for him to be happy.”

Jamal Lowe has been linked with several clubs this summer. A report in the Daily Star claims Leeds United, Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion are keen to sign him.

But the latest bid to come in for him has come from fellow Championship club Wigan Athletic. The report by The News states the Latics have recently offered a fee in the region of £2.6 million.

Portsmouth will be desperate to keep hold of their star player, but the lure of the Championship could be significant, and Lowe has the ability to challenge himself at a higher level.

The 24-year-old winger netted an impressive 17 goals for Pompey last season as the south coast club reached the League One playoffs, eventually succumbing to defeat to Sunderland over two legs.

Lowe has so far featured for Portsmouth during pre-season, but it will come as a surprise if he is still at Fratton Park come the first day of the new season.
