BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — In less than a week, the Spirit of Boise returns to Ann Morrison Park on Labor Day weekend.
The five-day hot air balloon festival is a great way to wrap up the summer. Together with CBS2 and CapEd Credit Union, they make this event happen each year.
The event starts with tethered rides for kids next Wednesday, Aug. 28. Balloons take off every morning through Sunday.
Here is a schedule to help you plan for the event:
Wednesday, Aug. 28
- 7 a.m. - Balloons are in Ann Morrison Park
- 7:40 a.m. - Balloons inflate and provide free tethered rides to children
Thursday, Aug. 29
- 6:45 a.m. - Balloons are in Ann Morrison Park
- 7:20 a.m. - Balloons take off from Ann Morrison Park
Friday, Aug. 30
- 6:45 a.m. - Balloons are in Ann Morrison Park
- 7:20 a.m. - Balloons take off from Ann Morrison Park
- 7:30 p.m. - "Nite Glow" activities begin with food, vendors and live music
- 8:45 p.m. - "Nite Glow Spectacular" begins
Saturday, Aug. 31
- 6:45 a.m. - Balloons are in Ann Morrison Park
- 7:20 a.m. - Balloons take off from Ann Morrison Park
Sunday, Sept. 1
- 6 a.m. - Dawn Patrol/inflation/launch
- 7:20 a.m. - Balloons take off from Ann Morrison Park
