does not have health insurance – was able to get her very first mammogram at age 56 thanks to a free
mammogram day at Bay Park Community Hospital funded by the Northwest Ohio Affiliate of Susan G
Komen," said Melissa Cogar, an Oregon, Ohio native who is operations and volunteer manager at the
local Komen organization and organizer of the golf outing."When her results came back abnormal, all
of her additional follow-up visits and tests were covered by Komen. She had a benign cyst, thank
goodness."Our local affiliate makes sure that women have access to a potentially lifesaving service
despite financial obstacles."To register, contact Cogar at 419-245-4712 or [email protected]
of the net proceeds will be donated to the local Komen affiliate to help the organization provide
