Tykes ages 2-5 are welcome at NDA Tyngsboro for Tykes & Tales, a free story and activity hour on the second and fourth Tuesday at 9:00 AM each month. Children and their parents will be delighted by guest readers and hands-on activities that provide a glimpse into what school is like for our youngest learners in our Early Years’ program.
NDA's Early Years program specializes in teaching through discovery. As early as age 3, students learn through group projects that engage gross motor skills, problem solving, collaboration and self-directed learning.
Each Tykes & Tales hour features a guest reader, book and a related activity to the featured story. Activities include using our NDA Minimaker Space to create keepsakes for children to take home, physical activities like dance or tumbling in our sensory room or a sing along with guitar accompaniment.
Arts and crafts are well featured at Tykes & Tales where children have the chance to practice gross motor skills assembling crafts or cooperation by working on a project with other children in attendance.
During warmer months, children will have the opportunity to experience NDA’s 200+ acre campus with age-appropriate activities that stimulate young minds and bodies!
Tykes & Tales is a great opportunity for early learners to practice the skills needed as they ready themselves for preschool and kindergarten.
