Vikki Zimmer, wife of Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer, was honored and mourned today by NFL players, friends and family. The 50-year-old died unexpectedly last Thursday at her home and her body was discovered by her husband. The Hamilton County Coroner has ruled that she died of natural causes.
A visitation and funeral were held for Vikki today at Holy Cross Immaculata Church in Mt. Adams, Ohio. The visitation was open to the public, but the funeral service was private.
Mourners included Cincinnati Bengals players as well as New Orleans Saints players. Vikki’s son Adam Zimmer coaches for the Saints.
