Tom Brady announced his retirement from the NFL, after his season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ended prematurely in the playoff rounds. The legendary quarterback could not lead himself and his side to a back to back Super Bowl appearance and decided to call it a day from the sport.
No sooner did he make his announcement, the rumours regarding him making a return to the NFL had spread all over the news. The trend is such that no one has ruled out the possibility of Tom Brady returning to the pitch in the coming season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ General manager, Jason Licht addressed the rumours during the NFL Scouting combine event, while fielding questions from the non-team based media. Licht, who had a decent relationship with the quarterback refused to close the door on him if he eventually decides to come back into the arena anytime soon.
“We’ll see what the future holds,” Licht said during an interview on NFL Network on Tuesday at the NFL combine in Indianapolis. “We’ll leave the light on. You always leave the light on for a guy like Tom Brady.”
Despite conceding the fact that Brady would be received with open arms, Jason Licht also clarified that they are looking at the future in regards to bringing in new players to boost their squad for the upcoming season.
“Right now, we’re trying to make our plans to move forward, if that’s the case that we need to move forward. There’s a lot of things that we still have to get — there’s a lot of time here,” finished off Jason Licht on Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ plans during the offseason.
