Close to two whole decades since LeBron James started to enter the spotlight in the World of Basketball. The 19-year NBA veteran has become a household name in the field of sports inspiring numerous young athletes around the globe. James was always naturally the best player out of any given situation and his talent is outstanding. Obviously, he is on his way to becoming the greatest player of all time.

The King has had an exceptional season so far with the Los Angeles Lakers averaging over 29 points per game while shooting his best percentage from three as well. He has four league MVP awards and four titles under his name. He became the first player to successfully win a championship with three different franchises. The player has achieved far more than ever and it is like he’s only getting started.

Who is LeBron James’ father?

We all know about LeBron’s mother Gloria James. She has been one of his biggest supporters since the get-go and has never left the player’s side, literally. But did you know that the greatest athlete of this generation has never met his biological father? LBJ grew up with his mother his whole life and built himself up through hard work on his own.

It's happening!!! LeBron James' contract with the Lakers runs till 2022-23 season and his son Bronny James Jr. should get into the league by 2023. So we could see the father/son duo playing on a single team in the 2023-24 season. Woah! #NBA

Anthony McClelland is the man who walked out on the King’s life much before he was born and the reasons are unknown. Gloria and Anthony both studied in the same high school and LeBron was also given birth to around the same time. McClelland was convicted of arson and theft during the early years of LeBron’s life. The only lead on why his father left is because Gloria and Anthony were apparently never a couple, which explains why his father had nothing much to do in his life. McClelland tried reaching out to reconcile back in 2002 but the NBA player had rejected the idea completely for obvious reasons.

Where was LeBron James born?

The King entered the world on December 30, 1984, in a small town named Akron located in Ohio. Growing up was a big struggle for James and his mother Gloria. They had moved around a lot as Gloria struggled to find a steady work environment. But as any parent would do, Gloria wished for her son to become great and had to allow him to stay with a basketball coach named Frank Walker who helped young LeBron in his upbringing.

James began his path in the field of sports in fifth grade when he started to play in organized basketball games. He joined the AAU basketball for the Northeast shooting stars tournament. There he met some of his closest friends who eventually dubbed themselves the “Fab Four”. They all attended school at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School together. James would later win championships with his team at high school and earned features in Slam and Sports Illustrated. During this period, NBA recruits gained interest in the high phenom.

Which college did LeBron attend?

LeBron James never attended college as he directly decided to call for the NBA draft. Bron was drafted by his hometown team the Cleveland Cavaliers as the number one overall pick. This was a draft class that was known to have changed the game in its own respective way. He went on to win Rookie of the Year over Carmelo Anthony which was considered a snub by some people around the people.

Ever since then, LeBron has worked his way up as one of the top scorers in the entire league as well as being the first-ever player to average a triple-double in total points, assists, and rebounds. He has one of the most impressive resumes in the history of the game placing him in the GOAT debates. He has been elected as an All-Star 18 times and has had 17 All-NBA selections. Besides the NBA, LeBron is also a gold medalist in FIBA and the Olympics.
