So when I got there, I just nailed down any little odd job I could to hopefully keep me for the season, which they did.”
Gary Kubiak, the Broncos’ offensive coordinator from 2002 to 2005, later became the Texans head coach. In 2006, he hired Mike McDaniel as his offensive assistant and Kyle Shanahan as his wide receiver coach, marking the start of a lasting friendship.
